The Volvo EX30 is set to break the mould and the EV Market with its futuristic look, minimalist interior, use of sustainable materials and long EV Range.
The Volvo EX30 is the smallest car within the Volvo range currently and sits within the hatchback models section of the EV Market. Exactly where the Volkswagen ID.3 is placed, making this electric Volvo affordable.
The vehicle has a very minimalist dashboard with a 12.3inch touch screen that does everything! The touchscreen houses the infotainment system, sat-nav, heated seats, adjust wing mirrors, volume control, opens glovebox and it even shows your speedometer, meaning there is no driver display. There is also smartphone charging pads underneath the screen. Along with an arm rest between the two front seats that incorporates the electric window switches and a cupholders.
The EX30 has a boot capacity of 318 litres, which increases to 904 litres when the rear seats are down and there is also the cleverly thought about small storage compartment underneath the bonnet for your charging cables.
The Charging times for the single Motor Extended Range vary on which type of charger you have, for example, a 3 pin-plug will charge in approx. 33 hours, however with the 150w Rapid Charger, it will take approx. 30 minutes (10- 80%).
For the base model (Single Motor) with a 49kWh battery, you can expect an estimated range of around 210 miles. However, for the Single Motor Extended Range using a 64kWh battery, you can expect an estimated range of around 300 miles.
The Single Motor range has an acceleration time of 0-62mph in approximately 5 seconds, and the Performance range is 0-62mph in approximately 3.2 seconds.
